Why Google likes blogs?

So does that mean to rank better or to get found more frequently every website should include a blog? I don't think there's too much unique content on the blogs anymore although the words are different but the theme is really the same.

As an SEO, I hate blogs. I guess I always assume that people are like me and never waste their time with blogs. When I see a blog, it's usually poorly written and has nothing to offer and I know it's for SEO purposes only.

Google like frequently updated unique content. That's what you get from a blog ( if you do it correctly). A blog is a journal which you update regularly. So fresh content attract Google. Also blog scripts like Wordpress has inbuilt seo tools such as pinging tools and many more seo pluging which helps those to rank better and also to get index fast.

Many will deny it, but there is a specific blog platform, which ranks better than the rest, and you know which one I am referring to

Look at blogs from the Google's point of view. Google needs to satisfy his customers like any other business. His customers are ordinary people not SEO experts, they are searching the internet for what they need, informations, products, reviews etc. Blogs are written by ordinary people, not by journalist/business owners/sales departments, so they contain ordinary people oppinions, original and unique points of view over an event or a topic. If a blog contains a product review, this will be an onest and personal oppinion. Google needs to satisfy his customers, not to show your site #1 in serp.

I have two sites that I am currently running. One has links to a blog and the other does not. The one with the blog linked to it does much better than the one without a blog. Google rewards the blog site more because it does have more current content and much more activity all around. After all, activity gets attention.

Even old Content can be updated every time via Coments
