    It can happen, that can be because of few ranking factors, such as increase in incoming links, or social media increase, etc...

    It can be that. Many believe that you can rank your site without the need for submission, but wouldn't the bots need to go to the site to index it and rank it?

    I remember the times where you could put blank page and build few inbound links with the right anchor and you could rank that blank page for that linked anchors no kidding I did it.
