How can i get my blog indexed by search engines.

I find it difficult to get my blog indexed. I need to the steps on how to get my blog indexed by search engines like google, yahoo, msn, etc. Members, i need your contributions, please. Thank you.

Submit it to the search engines firstly, use Twitter and Identica (and Mixx if you have an account), email your URL (live link) from a Gmail to another Gmail account as Google crawls emails. Manually add some comments to high authority pages in your niche. Add 2-4 external links to your blog to the top sites in your niche. Keep on adding content and adding backlinks, at a reasonable pace ie. if you do 50 on day 1 then continue to do 50 each day until rising to 75 then 100 per day. If you start with 5 links then slowly increase it over the next few weeks - think link velocity.

Use IMTalk URL submitter tool in the header bar, also.

Use services where constantly there is a search engine boat, for example Twitter, leave there references to the blog, carry out run on social bookmarks.

If Google cannot discover your webpages, it cannot index your web pages.

- Create a good Sitemap for your website
- Get backlinks from popular niche related websites which frequent get crawled
- Ping back the search engines to accelerate crawling process

A blog gets indexed automatically when you post on it. A sitemap is good for google and other SE's, but only aftyer it's indexed. Submit your site to Digg and you'll be able to find your website indexed rather quickly.

How log ago did you put your website online ?
It can take some time. Type in google site:yoursite.com (without the www) and you'll see the indexed pages.

I've onlined many websites, also non-blogs, and got indexed without doing anything for it.
