Webmaster Tools and Back Links

So last time I checked webmaster tools I had 15,000 links.. Good anchor text etc..

Checked today and now I only have 300?????? Anchor Text seems to not be showing that much either as the main anchor texts are from my inner pages site structure page links..

So turns out all the Blog Comments, all the Directory Submissions and Acceptance GONE..

However my SERPS Results are still the same So no harm done..

Anyone else experienced this or anyone know WHY????

I am in UK with a .co.uk and not sure if panda/farmer has come here yet and didnt think it was going to.. but alot of the links were from .com sites.. ???

Something strange... From where do your backlinks mostly came from?

I told a little lie Anup on checking again..

Some Blogs are still listed.. The ones with high domain authority..

Most of the links were from directory submission from directory critic and directory.ws (all of these links are no longer showing)

Alot of blog comment links and only the ones that are high in the OSE (over 70%) with authority domains are still listed.

Only 1 .edu is there (the one thats a genuine comment and not spam)

The rest of the links that are listed are ALL webmaster 1 way links from websites most with PR..

(But Yahoo still showing all of them)....

They are all back.. I panic and link builded some more too so up to 18k links.. lol..

Congrats. I was known you're going to get it back. I think its only the effect in webmaster tools not in real.

This is very common, Google webmaster tools never gives you accurate number of backlinks.
Check your backlinks using Yahoo! Siteexplorer for approximate count.
