My Blog is new... but the Domain seobunny.de is 6 month old and seobunny.com is over many years old.

When I bought .de domain I thought its better for Germansites... so i changed it from .com to .de

now I changed it back from .de to .com cause I want to go more International with my blog...

and so there coming a day after PR2 haha.

I know this exacly cause when I was changing, I was checking my PR and it has PR0... a day before...

Your .com domain is more than 1 years old, that means you have created many backlinks so your PR is 2. Nothing is strange now.

    Congrats once again

I think that is because of 301 redirect from seobunny.de to seobunny.com, link juice as well as all other backlinks and anchors, etc are beeing transfered to new domain...

@bunny can you tell me are your rankings for .de domain now replaced by .com domain?
I'm planning to do this 301 redirect for my one site which generates some great income for me(I don't want to mess this one up),
so I need to know did all your rankings(main keywords you where rank before) are transfered to new domain or you lost some rankings for certain keywords now?

You'll just loose your traffic. For example, if you have placed link of your previous domain name in any other site, then the visitor from that site may get error something like your domain is no more.

No, this is not true, because it will be redirected to the same page, but with different url.
    For example:
    somedomain.com/url1.hrml --> 301 redirect to somedomain.org/url1.html
other domain will have same content and structure only different address...

But my question is not that, coz I know how this stuff works, my question is for "real life example" ,
Google say they can recognize and that can handle very well redirects and all rankings will be transfered to new redirected domain, but my question is, "is it this true in reality/practice"

Yes this is how it can work if you set your .htaccess the right way...
Let say your site gets banned or "filtered" from google, you can create exact same relplica and redirect it to new one...
But the question is will rankings stay?
I have tried that on two of my websites with 302 redirect(which is same as 301 only temporary) and I got some strange behavior...,
some rankings where trasfered, some where lost, and I got some new for which I have never ranked for on either of sites...

Your PR will be no more I think, if you haven't created high quality backlinks. But other ranking like Alexa can be gain. Once you migrate to new domain make sure you create the quality backlinks for PR.

301 redirect could put you in sandbox , for example mine.. I lost %90 of my traffic..

    Dear Nemanja

I did a 301 Thing of course, cause My Domains can get to sandbox if you do a domain change wrong!
Google will see it like double content!

So I search for this kind of topic in german google help center.

And I found a Topic: how to change .de to .com domain without landing sandbox

So I follow these Steps, the google help center team posted there in the topic.

Fist make a Domain change. This mean...

set you new domain, the com. domain to your "/" folder
and your old domain you must make a external forwarding to your .com domain

Then go to your FTP Folders and search the .htaccess file

type this in your .htaccess file:

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    Options +FollowSymLinks
    Options -Indexes
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^your-new-domain.com$
    RewriteRule ^ http://your-new-domain.com%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

    This is what i did...
And now there is no trouble.
My blog got same traffic! No Sandbox!

All .de results are now .com results at google!

dont forget to send your new your-new-domain.com/sitemap.xml
    to google webmastertools!!!

    thats it!
    And I got no problems...

When I was changing the .htaccess file
    there was a 500 error
then I search for the right code and now this works...
