Thread: Does Google Sandbox really exists?

There is something weird going on with my site, perhaps it's in this "sandbox". I've launched this weekend and I'm trying to rank it for a 4 word expression... perhaps I'm trying too hard? I've put it in url, title and H1 tag, and been building dofollow backlinks with this expression. My site is nowhere to be found when searching in Google, however it's ranking high for small variations of the expression, like adding a couple words to it.

How so, If you have only just launched it could take a while as well. Remember, you need a healthy mix of dofollow and nofollow to make thing look natural. Have you submitted to any search engines?

Yes, I hope it will climb up with time, although I think it's kinda strange that my site ranks on 1st page for "the expression", but I can't find it for "expression". I didn't submit it to search engines but I'm not sure what the guy that provided the backlinks did. However the site is indexed, but not cached.

I don't think sandbox exist.. if it does exist, then a lot of 'genuine' sites will be in trouble. One can send 100000 back links to their competitors to get them in trouble.. Make sense?

It is another myth google started up to try to stop you from taking advantage of googles algorithim. When you disappear it is the google dance it always comes back higher. Also love the google sandbox pic

With all due respect, from what I have heard the Google dance hasn't been done in over two years. Unless maybe they have renamed something when they index sites?

Whether the Google Sandbox effect really exists or not, there are certainly tools around to check for it.

I have had a couple of sites in the past appearing after doing this check within the first 30 days of setting them up. But I have also had several that get indexed and ranked quite well based purely on their on page SEO and minimal backlinks literally the day after launching them. My understanding was was that a website can get "sandboxed" for more competitive keywords so as to not rank too quickly after setting up therefore preventing spam style sites from appearing and disappearing quickly. Whether this is true or not, there are certainly tools around to detect this effect although Google have never officially stated whther it is true or not.

It`s not a place is a situation, you can not touch it, see it, look for it, etc. But you really can be sure that it exists, just break some Google's rules and you will see that your site and all your pages eventually lose position, and appears hundreds of pages down.

Yes Google sandbox is there..The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites..The Google Sandbox Effect is a theory that is used to explain why newly-registered domains changes rank poorly in Google Search Engine Results Page..
A site is sandboxed when it is new and does not rank for the keyword phrases that are not incredibly competitive in google...
