Want to block sites? You do not nees Goole chrome anymore (Google Official Blog) - Google goes one step further and allows to block sites in search results even without using the chrome browser, simply click the Block link at the link now appears to find similar pages. Block is valid for all pages under that domain.

I can't believe they would take it that far I have been reading about Google's new toy for chrome and could immediately see where many people would take advantage of that. Regardless whether or not Google looks at the site before banning. I mean, if spammers can brutally spam websites, then what would stop them or anyone else using black hat techniques from using the blocking tool to make sure their competition is thrown out of the race.

I know there are a lot of spam sites, link and content farms, but honestly, putting a tool like this in the hands of millions of strangers would not be a good idea in the end.
