Thread: Is my Website penalized by Google?

Hi Dears!

Today I am facing big problems with my client website.

I was building links for pickmusic.com using keyword "music videos"

The website was on position 55 in Google for this keyword phrase "music videos"

Now it has been disappeared from Google. Please advise me what is happened to website? And what will be the reason? And now what should i do now?

Also It is temporary or permanent?

This is normal behavior, wait for 2-5 days.

Okay my brother thank you very much,.

No it not be penalized. Some time it happen that our site been ranking on the top of the search engine but after few days it been invisible. What happen when a site got number of back-links at a moment goggle put that site in sandbox to check from where the back links are coming are they paid links or been develop through black hat SEO.

Yes,it is normal,just be patient and wait few days

It shows in Google or at least it hasn't de-indexed by Google. Probably a temporary thing.

Recently google update own algorithm and penalized low quality and duplicate content website.So i want to suggest you check your website content and quality of content.

Haha same he said to me when I was affraid... about the same problem

and really after 2-5 days, like nemanja said before,

my domain was coming back in serps and also keep'd same rankings...

it will most probably re-appear higher up, keep building links to it.

Uh - did ANYONE check the competition for the keyword "MUSIC VIDEOS"??? There are ONE BILLION results returned on a Google search! Talk about unrealistic expectations! It would be easier to rank for 'French Fries' or 'Tire Repair' than Music Videos.

Worse, there might be a -50 Google penalty going on. Cuz if you have a site that all your major keywords seem stuck in the 40's and 50's - regardless of how well your onpage optimization is, regardless of the number, quality, diversity of backlinks you built -- that's a good indication Google has your site in a rather hopeless place around Page 5 of SERPS. Not banned, but not ranking in any meaningful way on anything but the most obscure long-tail keywords.

This happened to me - and NOTHING I do has helped. I simply registered a new domain about that niche, rebuilt a site about it from scratch - and that site gets 2-4 times more traffic.

I have kept the original site: Bing/Yahoo likes it, there's Squidoo and HubPages and Blogs that still drive some traffic to it -- but 80% of the potential traffic from Goog just doesn't exist.

That's called sandbox,google use that to prevent possible spam

It's normal... its not only you who is optimizing for your keyword.. do more seo...

actually this is not penalized by google, this usually happens when you optimize your sites for a high competitive keyword. Keep building quality back links.

This happens on the website that I am working on. It has been invisible to Google Search Engine for 1 week. I decided to give more time for the backlinks and now our site is visible on the search engine again. I am relieved. I though I was being blocked by google and I thought it was also because of the robots.txt but I was wrong.

Just do more link building for your sites and it will be visible to Google search engine again.

may be you have done any black hat technique or may be Google change its strategy. wait for some time it will be back.

Some times there is Google dance...just wait for 5 -5 days.

as Nemanja discussed about this this may google dance problem..
i have read in one thread that this will happens sometimes even my website is also not in google right now as it was in under 25 last few days back.

No worries, mate. I see this all of the time.

If you've been doing good SEO you might even see an increase when your SERP return. Sounds crazy but I actually look forward to seeing a temp drop in rankings - they usually come back even stronger.
