Google's Global Panic Phenomena and what it is?

Every single algo update same story.
We(other members and me) explained this phenomena few times already and proved it wrong over and over again(just look it up you will find it), some other members did same with this recent change already:
    http://www.imtalk.org/f15/13060-back...ere-proof.html

What google is doing is creating global panic, so you do all the job for them and actually claim/report/confirm yourself as a link spammer.
They even invented disavow tool, so that they dont' need to do anything and people in panic will clean their search results for them, among all other things.
If they can distinct spam from actual link themselves then they wouldn't need anyone's help, they will just cut you off.

Same thing they are doing with removing peoples rankings a bit or a lot for sites which they have flags for(site on the fence) and then naturally you will want to know what is happening, then you will read their sponsored articles/posts on the net or just articles/threads/posts from same scared people doing same things and what Google told them to do especially Matt Cutts(LOL) in hope to regain your rankings and naturally you will start removing links,
for those same sites which where on a fence, so they will get confirmation by sudden loss of links and they will know that these are not natural links and penalty will remain if not become even severer.

I'm not saying that they don't know how to recognize spam links, after all they have some big brains there, but they can't do/recognize them all, especially not for sites which are in some gray zones etc.

Trust me you really don't have to pay attention to those updates if you did at least 80% your linkbuilding the right way as explained here many many times. I know I don't care for this stuff and sure will not care in the future.

BTW my sites all all doing fine, as a matter of fact many of them gained better rankings and I'm getting more visitors now and you know what, I'm using links and my tools non stop

They key is to to it properly, that way you will never be bothered with any google update.

Take care and good luck guys!

Speaking of PANIC, today for the first time I got a request for a link removal from one of my article directories and the 'link' was not hyperlinked. The website URL was listed in plain text in the author resource box!!

I suspect that Google has ulterior motives in all their noise. Sure, Google wants to provide good search results to maintain their position as the leading search engine. This makes their story pausible. But Google is a public company. As such they need to pay attention to their profit and loss statement to keep their investors happy. Two of their largest expense items have got to be bandwidth and storage. The less content they need to index and the more sites they can justify de-indexing the more they can save on those two expense items, thus making their bottom line look better.

I get these all the time

I'm also for SPAM removal and better SERPs for sure(which is not happening by each update as it should), but we need somehow to jump start our websites and google is making hard for us IMers.
Sure it supports all big dogs in the industry and we little ones can't survive because Google can't and won't distinguish a spammer from honest guys starting up their online business and them a chance.
So we end up doing what we do , but he tries to scare us and only brave manage to survive

I have been getting link removal requests since the first updates that targeted spam links but the previous requests have all been for live links. Usually they are anchor text hyperlinks. I don't recall a request in the past where just a hyperlinked clear URL was involved, let alone a plain text web address without an active link. It was the full formal site URL, including the http: but there was no link in the code. Without being enclosed in <a href tags there is no reason for any bot to pay any attention to the reference.

If you go to some town and search for a popular restaurant, many people will suggest the best spot which is more popular. Like wise Link building is the old and genuine way to give importance to website ranking.

I totally agree with you, how many updates may come their ultimate aim is to improve the website rank which has quality back links and which can attracts users.
