Thread: How can I have each listing in my business directory index by google?

I have a site (Cayman Business Directory) and is trying to have each listing in my site index so they can display in google search result. Can anyone guide me as to the easiest way forward in having this done. Look at sample from search within google for site name above.

I didn't find any sample.. did you attach any screenshot to this forum thread?? You should try including each listing to your site's sitemap! And then submit your sitemap to google webmaster tools..

Are you talking about the webpages with listing or you tried to list it in open directory? Could you please elaborate ?

Can you please show us the URL of your site so that we can check it and guide you? Only after looking at your site one can find out what exactly is required on your part.

Cheking caymanbusinessdirectory. Sitemap is in XML format. Is the sitemap in XML format clearly readable by the search engines? I use a plugin to generate the sitemap that shows all the listings clearly without showing the XML codes. You can see below.

An xml sitemap is for the search engines. It is their preferred sitemap format as you should know if you have a WebMaster Tools account with Google.

An html sitemap is more for your human visitors than for the search engines, although the SEs will usually use it if an xml sitemap is not available.

so, the question is "just how to be indexed by google?"

Try to create a sitemap.xml file in xml format. So that your links will be listed in search engine directory.

In general it will take minimum three months. We need wait for a long time.

Submit your site to Webmaster Tools.
Submit your posts to social networking sites.
