Thread: Does google penalize you for having duplicate content text in your images

For google ranking, can google now find out and penalize you if you have duplicate content text in your images that can easily be found online. And the words I will be using will not be just few words but 1-2 sentences in a single image on the sale page.

So based on this information, can google penalize me for duplicate content text in your images which are really images of just sentence with no background of things of any kind.

hmm really good question. I doubt it unless someone reports your site, which is highly unlikely. I suggest you use unique content even if it is in an image.

But to answer your question, no they will most likely not penalize you for using duplicate content in an image.

I am not talking about duplicate content inside a image, but whole sentence in a image.

Unless Google applies Optical Character Reader technology to the image they will not even 'see' the duplicate content. To GoogleBot an image is just a series of 1's and 0's with a header that identifies it as an image. The only ideas Google has about what is in the image are the provided alt text, any title or caption associated with the image and the surrounding content.

Google bot can't read text in graphics or animations so you don't gain or loose anything.

i dont think so gogoel will panalized the duplicate content text on images.

YOURE SOOOOOOO WRONG!!! GOOGLE CAN READ A LOT OF FONTS AND TEXT IN YOUR PICTURES/ GRAPHICS...

It is called OCR and if we can do it sure google can with its resources,
but if they are using it and for what is a different question....
