Get ready for the 2nd BIG Google Penguin (Major) Update 2013!!!

We remember the first Penguin Major Update on on April 24, 2012.

That was for many Webmasters and SEOs a hard slap and many Networks were de-indexed... many websites get penalitys because of the unnatural "anchor link-mix".

The searchenginewatch Blog announced on April 9, 2013 that another Penguin Major Update will come.. but is it true??? Or is it only a speculation???

Many bloggers say that will be a very BIG Update with big algo changes...

This would not be the first link network targeted by Google. Google has penalized link networks several times over the years, most recently the BuildMyRank.com link network. As I said then, I am surprised webmasters and SEOs still use these types of networks. To build your rankings on networks of links that can be penalized in a second by Google, just doesn’t seem wise to me. It is a short sighted SEO technique that I wouldn’t want to mess with.

How safe will the networks used by the IMT tools be?

Probably they are targeting the networks they have found since last update and also this one maybe for sites which hit last update and made changes to recover from it. I remember reading somewhere those sites can only recover after next update.

well today is april 12th and nothing happend so far, might be its a myth

Looks like another exciting update from Google, nevertheless I think we can't do nothing from it but again to continue what everyone thinks what everyone should do.

I'm not actually concerned about this update. If you stick to white hat seo methods then you will be absolutely fine.

Yeah I watched Matt cutt video couple of days ago telling there will be a penguin update in next couple of weeks and it will go deeper than the last one. So they are targeting more and more on Backlinks.

I always take his words with a reserve...
That said, from first portion of the video he said that bookmarks will be considered OK since this update, off course if done right the natural way(like we do for a long time :)).

I'm not worried about any of these updates as maybe most people are and I will tell you why.
This and all other updates as well as their tools, have also psychological impact on the webmasters, so they expect to scare people not to do things this or that way,
why, well because less work for them in fighting spam links and spam in general, resulting in better and accurate search results, better user experience, etc..
Trust me if they have such updates that they can do this successfully on their own, they will not be telling that to anyone,
instead they will just do it, like they are doing most of their things, so it is well planned move from google to "break" the news to webmaster community.

On the rankings, after first few updates against the links, I proved many times that links still work and I will prove it again, with my most recent testings, soon to come...
So I suspect their goal is to finally scare people not to build links anymore(spam links or similar), to indirectly change their SEO mindset and SEO habits, especially about linkbuilding..etc...
Also I said it many times and will say again, don't trust anyone, do your ranking tests and you will know exactly what works and what doesn't work anymore.

I think this is critical. Test, test test. Unfortunately the net is filled with hearsay by people that never check what's behind the other side of the fence. I think if we would have all listened to what Google was supposedly telling us last time then no one would ever build links and most of us would never rank in search again.

The Penguin 2.0 is out now!

Yesterday on May 22, 2013 Matt Cutts announced on his blog that the penguin 2.0 is rolled out completely.

Any changes???

Oh yes... there is a big change in the GERMAN SERPs!

- I found out that most of these spammy sites in the internet loosing rankings.
- New domains (with only a few backlinks) ranking on site 1 with different keywords
- Some of my projects loosing rankings from #Rank1 to #Rank4+
- There was big Serps changing in the finance, energy and other high competition keywords

What you guys found out?
Please leave your expierience...

some of our article ranked solely based on content before update and just with 0 backlink .. but after update all went to page 2 and page 3 and all .. !! is it because of no backlinks ??
