Thread: Will the social signal effect the ranking factors?

I read about everywhere (i sign up random newsletter from a few Internet marketer out there) the social signal will totally effect the SEO these day.. i don't know how it is actually true or not.. maybe they just want to sell their product or ebook.

i mean, google will love site that had a lot of 'FB share' or 'FB like' or 'Tweeted' or 'Google Plus shared'..

by solely depend on link building will not help at all achieve a good ranking.. particularly for competitive keyword.. and even some of them said.. link building is now dead (only if you do not include the social signal)... if that kind situation that need to be done when target for ranking in search engine.. then it is very hard to get 'pure' and 'natural' social signal..

please give your opinion.. are you still achieve good ranking without social signal? at least for the past few month and most recently

I seem to be, I have always had those on my website and i still gain a huge number of traffic via google anyhow.

I mix social signals and other link building strategies in my link building campaign .... and I can say it works !

Also I don't feel like link building is dead and its true that the Big G loves natural social signals (not the one that are bought from fiverr and others)

i really don't know what is the proportion or percentage of social signal will effect the whole ranking factors.. if you still achieve good ranking without social signals.. it mean like or i think the proportion of social signal ranking factors not contribute a lot to the whole factors

Social signals now a days in competitive world play a major part along with link building and on page seo for influencing the ranking of a website, also it drives good number of visitors from social media background that helps a site to increase its popularity and if the site is liked by the users redirected there through social media they can provide favorable recommendations to their colleagues, mates and family members to visit the site or they may even start reading your blog and sharing and retweeting them on fb and twitter.
Along with the link building and on page factors, social reputation and traffic generation is considered to be one of the factors for influencing ranking of a websites

I don't think you should be worried if you are already getting traffic from search engine. Social media are just another way to bring traffic.

Using social media sources can definitely help improve traffic shares of websites but they might not necessarily have big impacts on rankings of the sites mentioned. For example, when you publish some links on social bookmarking portals, a lot of visitors could be checking out your content pages, without linking to them directly.
