Smile need seo help from experts

I recently dropped my website traffic incredibly. All traffic were based and came through single keyword. received 6k - 7k hits per day usually and 50 - 60 $ adsense income. Now it has been outranked and traffic dropped below 200 visits per days and no more than 2 - 3 $ adsense income. I must say that, I've never spam or used blackhat seo. all links were built from relevant and quality sites. I believe this is because penguin 1.1 update out rolled recently. Now I want to recover my site back.

I recently found that when I check backlinks by backlinkswatch.com, it says my site have no backlinks. but in webmaster tools I have more than 500 backlinks. Why is that ?

Can anyone please give me some tips to recover my site back since now it meant to be article submission / directory submission and almost all easy backlinks have no weight on ranking ?

After the first penguin update it seems to be they have given total credit to brand name owners in search results. as an example for the query "gmail bla bla" all top results are dedicated to gmail official site. third party website are ranked as far as from 3rd page or up. anyone have clear idea about this?

    Thanks all.

If you want to recover after the google penguin update, you need to avoid spam techniques because the main purpose of the Penguin update is to put a deep freeze on web spam in Google's search results. So you need to avoid hidden text or links on your website or blog. You should have to use good keyword density on your website. Never use keyword stuffing and clocking techniques to get result because they can be harmful for your site.

I think it would be better to change your niche but for this your domain name has to be flexible! or maybe you can target new set of keywords

Did your traffic drop on 4/24/12 or before that or after that? Check your analytics first, just to make sure it was penguin. Then, you can go from there because the things you need to do are different because they did a panda version 4.something like a week or two after that and then there was a penguin reboot late may or so. In terms of not seeing links in backlink watch, it's mostly likely because the sources they're using are no longer viable, ie, yahoo site explorer. I haven't used that site in a while as I've found it very inaccurate... seomoz for example has been collecting their own data for a while, hence their paid backlink discovery tools... Also, what you see in gwm tools is not accurate as well. You'll have way more usually... G is not going to show you all your backlinks.

If you check the dates and it was indeed penguin, check your onpage seo factors. But most likely it is the brand bias. A backlink density analysis would also be a good idea. But most viable solutions are paid. One thing you could do to start is look at where your competitors are getting backlinks from and copy the profile as best you can.

If any members have other suggestions, please chime in and correct me where I'm wrong...

deepallasantha has mentioned that they have not done anything wrong on the site though, do you guys have any other ideas that might help?

From your description, it might sound like it could be an update causing the problem, but without knowing what the site is etc. giving you accurate advice is going to be impossible.
The way I see it is that it could be competition as well, and not just a penguin update. Stupidpenguin gave you some really great advice though, and all I can add to it, besides backing up that you need to make sure that is actually is an update causing the drop, is to check your competition out again and see what's happening over there. Things change on the net so quickly, someone else could have created a site with the same services/product/information you have and might be ranking ahead of you.

Again, with respect, there is no consistent proof that the penguin or panda was to blame because firstly deepallasantha has mentioned that no bad tactics were used, and without a site link we can only speculate.

Nope they have not, according to them, take a closer look at the thread.
I must say that, I've never spam or used blackhat seo. all links were built from relevant and quality sites.
deepallasantha thinks it might be penguin, but for that, you would need to have done something bad, which contradicts this statement above.

The OP may have done something that warranted a penalization but he maybe doesn't realize it. He at least implies that manual link building was done, but how was it done? Depending on how the link building was done, E.g. how diverse is the anchor text/keywords in the link profile of the site and/or how many brand links(url/domain name as anchor text) have been built which seems to be very important in link building post Penguin based on the research I've done and case studies I have analyzed of people managing to recover post penguin. This could easily play a role in the drop of traffic. I recommend watching this video to see how link building should be done post penguin and to get an idea of whether or not the link building that the OP mentions he has done was done properly.

Thanks Alan. I have not done any spam onsite or offsite while doing SEO. my contents are also fresh and unique. But I think some of my backlinks were in poor quality. Any further suggestions?

It's really a problem. No way to change the niche since it was targeted towards a specific product. anything happen like "giving priority to original trade name owners in search results" while this google update. I really feel that when I see latest search results after penguin update.

Yes, got the point. BRAND BIASED. that's the main reason for my fall. my traffic has doubled after 24th April and continued rise until 6th May. about 95% Big fall after 6th.

I happily say that. I'M NOT A SPAMMER. my content was genuine and backlinks were better quality built in steady rate from specially picked sites.

How about the anchor text which you used to get backlinks? The major highlight of recent panda/penguin update is "Over optimised anchor text"; sites which had over optimise for anchor texts were given penalty.

Anyhow, at this point, I would recommend to go ahead with more blogging, press releases, article submissions and etc. Make sure to use various anchor text to reduce your anchor text ration in Google database - That will help you, as it worked for me, but it takes some time, do not stop, keep going, you will get the rank

For Penguin - not having diverse anchor text, not having a diverse source for your links and a loss of links from blog networks, especially if you used them for comments.

For Panda - duplicate content, spun content, crappy content.

Along with high bounce rates, short amount of time spent on site, and no social presence - i.e. G+1, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. I don't know your site, and can't say for certain.

I usually start by making sure my content haven't been duplicated by others. Then, work on HIGH QUALITY social links which are diverse. If I haven't used any black hat methods - I'll go on Google forums, out my site and ask why rankings have gone down.
