Would I increase my viewer ship by optimizing for queries that have been popular?

I've generally tried to be descriptive on my pages and in the handful of links I've been able to create myself. And I've tried not to use the same word or phrase too often and sound redundant. Haven't really put that much focus into targeting keywords.Would I increase my viewer ship by optimizing for queries that have been popular?

Yes, if the keyword is popular then you can gain traffic since there are lots of people searching for it. You can try to use keyword and competitive research tools like SEMrush, Compete, Spyfu, Trellian, and a lot more. With the help of these tools, you can find keywords that might generate traffic to your website. You can also use this tool to "spy" or to look at your competitors' keywords.

Yes you can do it , but if you go to SMM or PPC you will also increase your viewership more than optimization.

viewership means the amount of people that visit and read through your blog posts / site content optimization as in SEO. What Alan smith is trying to say, i think, is that using SMM or PPC can help you get more visitors than ou would if you optimized your site only.

As I know that optimization is more important because it can drive targeted visitors to your website since then you may sell your products and services rather than viewership.
