Thread: Pinging website?

How do you ping your website?
Every article you write?
One time a week?
Alternate days?
Or whenever you publish your article?

And also mention, it is black hat or white hat?

I do ping every new post. Also bookmark it and submit to rss feed to ensure the search engine bot come the site and index the new article.
There is no need for me to ping it everyday. Hoever I heard that ping the site everyday will increase CTR if you have the adsense on the site, not really know it is true.

I use Pingler, pingomatic, pingfarm

use to ping when i post something new on site.

I use this mainly for profiles but works with other sites as well. When you create your sites put them into a feed using bulkping.com than use the bulkpings free indexing tool on the feed you just created, bookmark that feed, submit the feed to rss directories.

Ping it once every 24 hours for 4 days, than once every 3 days for 2 weeks and once every week than once every month, this will ensure most of your links will get crawled and a lot of them will get indexed in the mean time.

I ping articles and links so they are indexed in google faster and get more exposure.

on new website i used pingoat but for every post I used plugin to automatic ping

ping plugin for wordpress to ping every new post at time of publishing. Seems to work and get the page cached almost instantly (provided the rest of the site has good SEO)

It's really a useful way? I haven't use before.

Everytime I post a content on my blog, that's the time I will going to ping my site.

I don't ping my site that much but I think I should start doing it more often. I say whenever you update something it would be better to ping it just to be sure.

Pinging is a process in which you send a short message to any search engine , directory and any website so that the website or search engine will be noticed that your website is updated or edited. You can ping search engines or website through a special link provided by them to you or you can also use Ping-o-Matic! if you don't have the pinging link

I ping every article I write. I ping using PingDevice, Pingler and Pingoat, I also ping my RSS feed. Any backlinks I make to the article I also RSS Feed and the Ping too (these are all manual links, high quality etc.)

Pinging is really beneficial as it inform the search engines to indicate about new things that has been released on search engines. It helps a lot in generating high traffic.

Pinging will help your site get index easily. So every time I have new article, i make sure to ping it using nuclear pinger, bookmark it and submit it to rss directories.

everytime i update blogpost in wordpress. it already get auto pinging because, wordpress platform provide you auto ping function in writing section

Pinging for non-blog, inner pages of say, an article directory, on average, for us, increase index rate by 11%, whereas social bookmarking boost index rate by 32%. It works, but just not as good as some would think. Don't ping your site too much, I have heard that Google doesn't like it when you do that.

i also heard it before, excessive pinging can bring harm to webpages... so be moderate... as long as the site being index that's ok
