I'm looking for a Wordpress theme, which should be SEO optimized so that I don't have to work much in promoting that..

Is there any?

You can easily add an SEO plugin to any WP theme, so just look for a theme that you like and suits your purpose. I use a plugin called All-in-One-SEO, but there are other good options.

seo is more then just setting up a theme and a plugin.

seo is also in content, writing good keyword rich text content. making good linkage between internal pages and so on.

almost all of the themes that you find for wordpress are seo optimized.

you should install proper plugins in your wordpress based websites i.e Platinum SEO Plugin. i use it personally in my websites. it's similar to All in one SEO plugin that you get for wordpress but with little more features.

Any theme is fine, just use SEOPower SEO Power (Free) Wordpress Plugin - Reviewed and you will do well

I tend to disagree that ANY theme is fine.

Check out Thesis or the Genesis Framework. I'm finding Genesis however, has a better impact on the overall SEO of my sites.

Its important to choose the seo friendly word press theme. It more over not helps to improve your ranking but hurts your ranking. I used WP Perfect Theme and All in one SEO plugin in my blog.

Thanks for the advice I've read here, I think I'll try all-in-one seo plug in for my site. I'm only getting started so I guess I'll have to see what to do...

I agree Thesis is very popular in terms of SEO optimized theme...

I tend to use a good looking theme and then use SEO plugins to optimize the site, never really bothered looking for "SEO themes".
