You need to keep at it It takes a while to see results, but with the competition out there, you need to work on the SEO side of your blog constantly to get it to a high rank and keep it there.

    Good luck

I think first choose right keywrods those have high global search and lower competition. Then channelize your content by commenting at different blogs.

    How long?

    Its depend...

    - how much time you spend...
    - what kind of Tools youre using
    - of the keyword competition
    - of your content
    - of the age of your domain
    - of your linkbuilding strategy
    - of your incoming internal linkpower
    - of your onpage optimizing...

fact is.. there is no time!
    Its everytime different.

SEO is ongoing and consistent process. As you stop putting in your efforts your competitors will over take you.

Right now, just focus on creating good, original content. You can work on SEO as you learn more about it.

If your blog is built on the Wordpress platform then it is good right out of the "box". You can install plugins that will make it even better.

Also, you could always hire someone to take a look at your site, make recommendations, and possibly make corrections.

Hi, I was in the same situation 6 months ago. Here is my experience.
I made a site with 10,000 searches exact match with very little competition. The no 1
Site had only 20 backlinks in yahoo site explorer.

I work on the site for 2-months and got a mere 10-unique visitors daily. On the third month I appeared on
first page. Then finally have reach the no 1 position at the end of the 3rd month. My traffic have increase significantly.
So as my earnings. Hope that helps.

New websites will require a lot of time to promote by adding fresh and unique contents and backlinks to help its content get index in the search engine. Older websites don't require a lot of promotion since they are already established in the internet. SEO is an ongoing process and you have to be consistent to see good results.

It depends on you.If you want to promote your blog, then SEO will help for better indexing of your site.It depends on your work how much time it will take.It will take 2 to 3 months of time if you will do it regularly. If you will stop promoting it, then possibilities are there that it will come down again. So, keep promoting your blog to keep it in a desired position.
