    Hi,
Firstly do not worry too much about the penalized site. Try to analyze the reason behind your site’s penalization. You did not mention if your site has got Panda Google Penalty or Penguin Google Penalty. But most of sites are facing Google Penalty because of the Panda effect that is affecting the site’s traffic.
So you can use panda and penguin penalty checker tools for checking your website status and analyze when the traffic increases and drops.
Yes, there is a way to recover from your rankings:
    1. Focus at finding all your backlinks :
Go and start the Google Webmaster Tools, then download all the backlinks of your website that is been recognized by Google.
Click on the “Search Traffic” and select the links to yor site.
Click on “More” to see all the links. To explore the backlinks, click on “Download latest links”
    2. Identify the backlinks using tools like Monitor Backlinks.
    3. When you are seeing that a certain link is hurting your Google rankings, then try to remove it.
    4. Aim at improving the quality of the content.

    Hello brother,

Kindly mention which penalty your site got? Panda or Penguin?
If it is the panda, then you have found out which page of the website got penalize then refresh the content of that particular page and in few days site will get its rank again. If your site got penguin penalty, then you have to find all the spammy backlinks and by using disavow tools you can submit the request to remove all the spammy backlinks.

    Thanks
