Recently one of our friend's website went out of service because hosting company stopped it due to malicious files occurred in their code. They took one week time to resolve the issue and submi cleaned code to web hosting company. After 24 hours of scanning and revision they have given access. Finally website come alive again but it lost search engine ranking.

Is there is any new algorithm launched by our big brother Google? Please share your experience regarding this issue?

This is not anything new.
It has been with google for years.
But sometimes you may notice it sometimes you may not, depends on the site and crawl rate etc..
So if google determines that your site is down, sure it will not show it on first page for certain keywords or it will drop your ranking etc,
but that is logical, because they don't want people searching something hitting down pages/servers..

Yes, This is old fashion of search engine, There is no new things.

Just add some new fresh content, get some social signals and your rank should return.

I can tell you from my experience you have to get increase social media site links. Live your links regularly on social media sites, and ofcourse you cannot get back your rank within 3/4 months.
