Do you use multiple sites to ping your feeds?

    Hello Everyone,

I use pingomatic every time to ping my feeds. Am I with the best ping site or should I consider to use other pinging sites also? Which ping sites do you use? Please share your ideas.

    Thank You

Using multiple sites really is not a benefit. They submit to the same pinging services and this is why you will usually see failed to ping or unsuccessful. It can also be viewed as spam. My advice is to create an RSS page look at the IMT Tools and see the submit RSS link it is free. Add relevant content periodically to a blog and link your site to that blog. Then create RSS (it gives instructions).

pingomatic does my head in sometimes. You go to ping something and it says Slow down cowboy!
I even try opening it in another browser, clearing all cookies etc and it still says it. Why is that?

I am using Mass Pinger - Free and Unlimited Mass Ping Tool for now.

They log IP address I believe. Try pinging through a proxy service like HideMyAss. If you are using WP schedule your posts so that you don't ping more than four times in about a half hour, particularly if you are on shared hosting. Scheduling for times when others are less likely to be posting may also be of value.

I also use pingomatic, but masspinger also looks promising if you have to ping many urls at once. But I want to know why do you all need to ping your urls everytime and what kind of urls you are pinging.
