canonical url refers the same content page with different url.
canonical is good way to pretend dublicate content in your website , for example :
yoursite.com/content_99.html and somehow google indexed yoursite.com/content.php?id=99
so google will think that you got dublicate content by canonical you could say google that its only content_99.html
Cannonical Issue ( without www to with www url)
It should be rectified otherwise a duplicate content issue may be created.
