Thread: Panda update [18th July]

Couple of my dead sites have started showing activity since yesterday so I was checking around and found this article. Seems another small Panda update rolling out.

While some sites showing somekind of waking up one of my main sites are going down. I notice it shows less than less ranking for keywords in Google webmaster tools. Mosts of it's backlinks are from Yahoo Answers. So maybe it needs more backinks.

Well it's not a major update. just a refresher update for moping up things. Like if you have a site died coz of of a previous Panda update you might find these sites alive again if the hit was hit mistakenly.

These Panda updates are happening so rapidly. I am not even sure that is it formally announced by Google or not. Like in the blog shared here, I can see- "Panda25- March 15, 2013 (confirmed as coming; not confirmed as having happened".

True. This is not a major update like i said and more like refresher update where they do damage control. No official announcement from Google or their parrot Mat Cutt. But searchengineland known for getting inside news so it must be happening. (or happened)

SEO bunny, I have came across several of your threads while searching articles and you have always helped. I always just use the thanks button but for you I had to post this!
I have a question though if anyone can help me. I do not understand the whole point of google coming out with 'panda and penguin etc.' doesn't this make it so much harder for a webmaster to get on google? It just seems counter productive. I also have noticed Google is the only engine giving what I call scum sites like ripoff report good quality rankings. I just dont understand?? With more people getting involved with websites and more people seeing that ripoff report is a permanent record that can not even be confirmed as being truthful doesn't one think that there will be a massive switch to Bing or even Yahoo? Any thoughts on this?

I can tell you why google making all these updates...
If google doesnt making any updates and adding new filters into algo...
then one day you will stop searching on google cause you will only find CRAP Websites on first search result positions.

For Example..
before all these update against spam.. google deliver you always sites with manipulate recommends/ backlinks. Most of these sites having poor quality content or doesnt giving you the thing what you looking for.

The tactic from these spammers was to making a lot of money... by scamming, virus, malware or other things.

If you type for example any software name like "openoffice"... google deliver you not the brand website on top where you can download it for free... NO NO NO.. google giving you scam or malware sites with these softwares because google thinks this is the best search result for you and thru these backlinks google count these scam sites as high quality result site for searchers.


Google is loosing the quality...

and now they need to do something... so they fight against spammers.

For example..
panda update is to fight against spun content and duplicate, also against too much advertising and affiliatelinks etc
penguin update is to fight against unnatural linkbuilding and to filter spammers out.

Google makes it not harder for us webmasters...
SPAMMERS makes it harder for us.

The problem is those who spam already get away without. They just find another another loophole and carry on. Those who try to stay all white hat always get hit.
