What are the reasons for having a limited PayPal account? My friend is having this problem. He can't transfer money since his PayPal account is limited or restricted. He was able to verify his account, but it's still limited.

There were a lot of fraud attempts on paypal in the past so they decided to add some extra security and more people have their accounts limited and in place for verification. I had it once, i gave them the necesarry papers to see that i am legal and now i don't have any problem with my account.

Yes this could be the reason, but also it can be the case if you have much activity in yout account, like great number of payments in just day or so.

The limitation case can be resolved if you talk personally to Paypal's customer support. If your transactions are legitimately done then there should be no reason why your account limitation is not lifted.

If you use a 'donate' button instead of a payment button, you can automatically trigger an account review with demands for all sorts of documents as PayPal assumes you are now a non-profit. There is no option to simply say ooops. Either submit a ton and prove you're a non-profit, or the account can be lost.

They said one reason for having limited account is that you have so many transactions with unverified account, so far I am very careful about making transactions with members that aren't verified for I don't want to encounter such.

dispute causes mostly limitation i got my paypal limited but after all i provided what they wanted they removed limitation and i can use my account as before

Some reasons of limited paypal account can be like Size of withdrawals, Some proxies & IPs of unsupported countries, Too Many refunds of money, Credit or debit card that does not check out, Some types of products being sold or Website Content.

There are a lot of reasons why a paypal account gets restricted or limited. Everyone here is correct. To sum up: if paypal sensed fraudulent activities with your account, it gets restricted.

My account used to limited and I have to verify 4 step for unlimit.
