Thread: Rewritten content

I have a question like this, if we use rewritten content,
EG - we take articles from other sites and then rewrite them with some changes.

Is it ok with on-site SEO ? I'm talking about original content. I think its not very ok, but how do you IM members think about it ?
Is it okay or completely need to avoid ?

Its called plagiarism, and believe me, its frowned upon. If it even remotely resembles content from another site, you are practically asking for trouble. The best thing to do, if you don't have the time to write unique content is outsource it to other writers. You can find many that will help you for a minimal fee. Of course, though, you pay more according to the writer's experience. Its just better to work it that way, than to use article spinners, or rewriting someone else's articles. Plus it gives you more time to focus on other things as well.

okay, thanks for your replies. I really don't rewrite articles, just asked. Some times I quote things from other sites, but only a small text.

that's cool though. People really get antsy if they realize people have copied from their site. The best thing about quoting though, is that you link to them, so it helps them and you at the same time.

if someone get some articles from another site and rewrite them, can copy scape identify them as duplicate content ?

No, they can't if you rewrite it good, but it wouldn't be very moral thing to do. You must think about your karma

I wonder if it will be same like Article spinning. Lets say if you are spinning someone else articles. For me It's easy to write articles from the scratch than rewriting those.

many people who rewrite articles because they don't have ideas to start new ones, so they take articles from somewhere else and then rewrite. For me also writing original article is easier than rewriting.

Or they don't want spend time writing unique articles. Writing or Spinning other peoples articles is stealing one way or other.

I found a place where they offer original articles for $1 per 100 words. This will be a great deal for lazy people. Actually me too going to buy some.
