Thread: Quoting content, good or bad?

Okay, what if I were to post an article on my site, and it was from another site, but, what if I quote a portion or the whole article right in my article and adding a side of my own opinion or annalysis? Is this a good idea or is it still stealing content? I of course would source the material, so I'll be okay by doing that, but is there any other legal troubles I could face for quoting a portion of an article or the whole thing?

I think it's best to quote a portion of an article and link to it. Also providing your opinion or point on the article it vital because fans of your site want your opinion to go with it. Just don't full on quote the piece and not write anything on your own. This is what some bloggers do and they don't realize it's ruining their reputation. If you quote, do portions of the article and provide your point after every quote. It's a great thing to do.
