Hey guys,
I am an Indian Paypal user. I have all things, added my bank account, added PAN card, but didn't added one thing that's credit card.
I have to buy things but can't buy as per new Paypal policy so thought to add debit card with International or Visa or MasterCard logo on it as per Paypal new rules, but guess what all three cards of HDFC bank didn't work..
Any body notice failing in adding debit card????

I have no experience of this case, but you can contact paypal directly, might be able to provide a solution.

Paypal seems to now have a lot of fundamental changes, since the issuance of new rules paypal ..
exactly what you're experiencing right now ..
my advice is try to contact paypal directly, either via email or phone call ..

From some of my friend experience, adding debit card only can be done by contacting them directly. For faster way, just use Skype to get in touch with them. Anyway, isn’t India banned from PayPal? CMIIW

Some American's this year haven't been able to send money to other people across the country for some reason (I've had that problem)

If you are still having those troubles I would try contacting PP and they should be able to fix you right up and getting your account working again

You must first check out the bank name are you want add is not according to the paypal policies because I think Paypal support some of the selective banks.

If you want to use paypal funds for buying products online, you have to use 'Credit card', debit card won't work. If you don't have credit card you can avail virtual credit card also.

I guess global ATM/Debit cards work ... I am using it successfully linked to my PP account

Use around 20 vcc you'll see your paypal being blocked!

The topic seems to be bumped anyway there is a solution for Indian Paypal users, Axis and ICICI (hdfc is costly offer around 50k) bank offer instand credit card by fixed deposit to the credit card account as prepayment.

Good luck contacting paypal. I had them lock my account because I had issued about 6 refunds for product that sold out fast on my webstore. They locked the account down for 90 days. It was completely stupid.

Dear Friend,

Debit Card will not work in PayPal since you are Living in India and Indian Debit Card work Online only with Verified by VISA or MasterCard 3D Secure Network and hence will not do any good.

My Suggestion if you live in City that have ICICI Bank, then better have a Fixed Deposit in the Bank and get an Instant Credit Card. (Minimum Amount Required is only Rs 20,000). You will get that within 15 Days and then you can link the Credit Card easily in your PayPal Account.

Hmm I though Internation VISA debit cards work with paypal. I use a prepaid debit card which works fine with Paypal. Don't want to connect my credit cards with Paypal. I prefer the debit card option.

International Debit Card works with PayPal. Problem is as per India Regulation Debit Card Online Transactions need to go via Verified by Visa or 3D Secure hence not been able to use in PayPal.

Absolutely Blue! I would never connect my main account with paypal. I'm with you I do the prepaid visa deal, then go online and register my zip code. I love it. Simple, just the way I like things. Lol.
