How can you match the Adsense ads with website topic

    Hello there.

I have a very targeted website, made for adsense, on the “cheap auto insurance” niche. I have 2 questions/issues:

    1) How can i make the adsense ads match the website topic?

    2) I have a list of websites (that are currently using adwords for marketing their business) that are a perfect match for my website topic. Can i some how select this list of url`s to advertise on my website?

    Sorry for my English.
    Thank you!

This is all done on auto by google.
Google adsense bot scans your web pages and then G decide what ads to put on each website.

    1. As admin said, it's contextual and done automagically.
    2. The simple answer is no. However, you can also help G with section targeting as explained here (the idea would be to match your content as close as possible to that of the ads you want to appear):

What is section targeting and how do I implement it? - AdSense Help

You can also tell them to ignore certain sections.

This is helpful in some niches that have higher cpc ads in certain phrases that are more than others. For instance, for cars, insurance and rental-related keywords will payout more. If you are talking about these topics as part of a more general post, why not highlight that section to help pull higher paying ads? But, who knows how much weight the bots put in this since it's user generated (easy to manipulate). Hope that helps...
