Thread: Which Adsense position is best?

Based on your experience, which Adsense position is best. I was reading much about heat maps, ad experimenting, blending and so on. All that I know that different people say that different position is best for them.

Is there some random or selective succes, or really exists best position?

If you will ask me which is the best adsense ads position, ill say Where the most mouse movement is happening on... I think all users will agree with me....

Often near text/pictures or whatever your site offers. Most people put them to the top of the page, or to the right side, but try to position them close to the content.

I think the best position used by many great bloggers is a strip ad zone directly under the category menu on top. You can see it working at labnol.org

I think best position is like garish said somewhere near nav menu bar, also just below header is great place, in content, basicaly somewhere where visitors focus they eyes most of the time.

the 250 x 300 adsense unit works for me well. Iam not sure if thats the exact size of it but it should be something like that. I usually put it just above the contents. Actually I put 2 units per post.

I think the best adsense position, is near alluring pictures or texts. People tend to be attracted to them, and out of curiosity often click on those ads also. But, there are other factors to be considered also, so I think it depends on the type of content the website has!
