Who am I to talk, I've made $17 on CB after paying $78 on Facebook ads to promote a Farmville course :D
But some ideas to promote CB products are with email marketing, article marketing, PPC ads etc.

make some good sales pitches and a nice looking site, just remember to be better than your competetors then you will get some sales going.
You need to get lots of traffic more traffic more sales
Bring more traffic to your site or the offer. I remember my first ever $100 on Clickbank was earned by this method. I had set up a blog after reading a bunch of starter guides for aff marketing. Then I was writing a post every week just on different programs. About 6 months after I started the site, I started to see some more traffic, and just happen to find a very hot product at the time. So I promoted that product with articles and banners. I paid for traffic to my site, I did a bunch of backlinking, and I had sales coming in.
