I have an article directory and I have found that average click rate from Adsense is around $0.25 so I think it is a little low but before two years it was good I think $0.5/click.

I have an article directory and I have found that average click rate from Adsense is around $0.25 so I think it is a little low but before two years it was good I think $0.5/click.
Do you think you could improve that if you have more traffic to your site? Adsense and Adwords have always fascinated me, but I have not yet used either, although I think my boss may have used one before.
