i agreed with anupview.. when talk about blogging.. first thing you must remember is you must produce good quality of content.. by branding yourself with your own style of writing.. then remain active.. participate in guest blogging.. and other marketing stuff that suit to your style

First, you should focus on the inside matters like how your articles read or how your weblog looks. And then you can also do some promotions through social media and advertisements.

If you want traffic to your blog then you need to be part of the blogging community, post comments on other related blogs, not spam or 'look at me' comments but interesting comments that will make people look at your profile and your site. link to other blogs and people will link back, but you have to build up a reputation first, it doesnt happen over night.

My advice would be to instead wait for google to index and bring traffic guest post on other sites. That'll bring you traffic. Secondly improve your page rank to attract sites which pay for review. If you have page rank 3 then you'll get atleast 200 dollars per month with reviews.

Agree with Anup. A bloggers main target is generate more traffic on blog. Once you will be able to do that. Your revenue will increase......

Content is king. Good quality article will drive more traffic. Write good articles that explains each and everything about the topic.

Write quality content and share it on forums, article directories, twitter, facebook, pinterest, dig, SU, document sharing sites (as pdf), video sites (turn your articles into videos), tutorial sites, etc.

Blogging is like an investment. Where you invest your quality time. And you can expect long term benefits from your blog. I am blogging for mere less than 1 year, still I am ripping some benefits from it.
