    Traffic VS Ranking VS Conversion

Hello IM'ers.. so if you do internet marketing a lot, what are the main focus for your work? do you mainly target/focus for ranking? or for traffic only? or just for conversion?...

some marketers just target/focus for ranking, by getting higher ranking means higher income you will get

some marketers just focus/target for traffic, because maybe just for promotion purposes and kind of advertising to their product or brand name

some marketers just focus/target for conversion.. mean he/she don't care about ranking or traffic, all he/she care is all about getting income in many different way..

    so what's yours?

That's not always true. You can be at the top and never make a sale, if the rest of your marketing campaign isn't up to scratch. Rank and traffic help, but if your site/product or service is not marketed well (content, promotion, web rep, trust) people will have to think long and hard if they want to buy from you. (IMHO)
For me, its important to work on all four, in a way, and with limits. I want to rank very well, so that I can showcase my company's products, service, and even the employees and owners of the company to more visitors. I believe in the product/service and will only do what's best for a client, while still trying to gain an income for the company.

higher rankings mean more traffic, so they go hand in hand really, I know there are more ways to get traffic, but generally and I think for most sites it's the best way of getting traffic. - I know a lot of marketers test conversions on squeeze pages and sales pages with solo ads but this costs cash and means that you've got to be on the ball with whatever the offer is you're promoting to tweak it and get the best conversions.

And you can't exactly test conversions without getting traffic, and if you've got small amounts of traffic then you will find it EVEN MORE DIFFICULT - the best way is to have the largest sample size to test and you'll then improve conversions more.

So for me, ranking & traffic > once that's built up then test conversions

    Uuummmm...
I prefer to improve different points of my business at once. For example, my strategies go to:

    1) Improve my Brand

    2) Get more Visibility

    3) Create passive targeted traffic to my businesses

    4) Customer care (sell different products to my customers)

I point to short, medium, long term profits.

Traffic, Ranking and Conversation depend in each other because a website needs to increase traffic to improve the ranking in any search engine. Also conversation is important because it gives an overview of the viewers of what the company services.

well for me the first goal should be creating a good website with good content and i think, if you provide good content your traffic will convert. after that, you should work on getting backlinks from relevant sites.

Ranking is important, if you use SEO it will be more easy to go on the first page.

Targeted traffic means $$$$, it's always important as your ranking.

For long term success of a website - SEO is very important.

But SEO takes its own time to be effective, so you must go for the following SMO websites for free and genuine traffic - Stumble, Reddit, Digg, Traffup, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, Hubpages, Squidoo, Youtube..

I focus on good traffic. I try to rank for "buying" and "converting" keywords. Especially when making a website to push offers, affiliate products or sites that will be monetized with adsense. I usually look for Low Searched + High CPC or High Searched + Low CPC. That's how I do things, I know others have different ways but this has served me well so far.

Conversion is the ultimate goal in internet marketing. And unless there is conversion, you will not make any money of your website. Whatever activities we do for our websites, all for conversion. Because conversion =$$
Rank on Google ** Buy PBN Backlinks **[Low OBL |Premium Quality]

no doubt about it.. the ultimate goal is conversion.. but things to keep in mind.. whatever activities we do for our website.. do it ethically.. not solely focus on conversion without practicing the good ethic of marketers..
