The best strategy would probably be to find the best balance between online and offline marketing. It's not simply one or the other. Rather, being able to successfully implement a bit of both into your strategy should make for a successful venture.

I would disagree on the point where you stated that it's a choice to do either offline or online marketing. As a marketer, you will have to utilize both methods.

Offline marketing sometimes doesn't work for all niches. Depending on budget, it may not even be feasible. Print material, tv ads, etc... are expensive. I do believe it is important, but really for bigger campaigns or lawyers and dentists referrals where you'd be getting a nice commission from sales...

I agree that online marketing is weaving now a days with high revenue, but still to emerge as the best in the industry the contribution of the offline marketing cannot be neglected. I will give a priority of 60% to online and 40% to offline marketing.

Both can work well. For most businesses, it is best to do both, using each in optimal ways, which can take a lot of learning and testing, but is well worth it in the long-term.

Online marketing is usually cheaper and quicker, and is often easier to up-scale, but offline marketing can be very effective.

Newbies tend to think in terms of "which is best", but that's not always the most effective perspective. For example, if an online marketing method makes you a profit, and an offline marketing method makes you some profit, but less, than it can still be worth using the off-line method too . . . as long as you're making profit each time, why not continue, even if something else is making more profit.

There are many cross-overs between the two these days, with offline products promoted online, online products promoted offline (for example, promoting a CPA offer by using business-cards handed out in the street), promoting web services to offline businsses (SEO, web-design, social media etc.) both online and offline, and promoting a website offline. All can work well if implemented effectively.

    Chris

Online marketing has a greater advantage over offline marketing. Offline marketing is expensive if we compare it with online marketing. More than a 35% of senior marketing professionals believe that digital marketing will account for more than 50% of marketing spend by 2019. One can go for online marketing such as SEO, SMO and SEM for marketing their business online.

    Thanks
