How many courses have you bought?

Hi guys,

I know that many people just buy courses on Internet marketing all the time, instead of going for one strategy and just keep working on it until it works.

So for you who are earning money or recently have begun making money with Internet marketing, how many courses did you buy before you begun earning anything except for a dollar here and there?

I personally didn't invest any significant amount in a course, before I knew the most about what's out there, and the strategies there is.

When I am thinking of courses I mean not just the most expensive ones, but also the countless $37 ClickBank courses that most of us at some point are going through

The countless 37 bucks courses on clickbank are 99 out of 100 times useless or you can find the same information here on the forums for example. If you'd want a real course that will actually bring you results you would have to (so they say) buy one of those programs for 1997 dollars and then still you won't get all the details that would give you your desired results.

My experience lately is, that even the "big boys" spam your mailbox with crap affiliate offers in the hope they will make some money off you. I'm so disappointed with those people who think they're all that and promise you unrealistic results. The hype will get you...watch out for it !

I've also created a product, but you can't compare it with all the nonsense and commodities that are launched every day. The worst is...people still buy that crap.
I've taken quite a risk with my product, because I'm not leaving anything out. I might p!ss off quite a few "gurus", but I don't care. I'm done with all the deception...

Here's an email I got from Paul Lynch's affiliate manager. If you don't know Paul Lynch...google him. He's a so called "guru".
He answered my mail where I asked him to have a look at my swipe email sequences I had prepared for JV partners and affiliates:

"Hey there Andre,

Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t really catch up on my emails until just now.

Sure, I’ll have a look at them for you. Been sort of busy lately.

I’m still going through your manual, and yeah I do think it’s very good thus
far. I’m not sure if Paul will be interested, but, I definitely think I’ll put
it into some of my follow-up sequences and what not for sure.

I quite like the way it gives people a much better idea of getting their marketing
plan together etc.. and really think about things as a business, as compared to
most of the crap being peddled out there.

I sort of covered some similar stuff in a recent WSO I put out that customers
really enjoyed, and which helped them to, which felt pretty good.

It was more about getting organized and productive etc.

It’s only report length, but, the feedback has been pretty good.
I can't compare it with your product though...

So I guess if THEY're saying most that's being launched is crap it must mean something. I've seen loads of products and courses (hardly ever paid for them though) and there are only a few I believe in. Tools like Micro Niche Finder for example, but there are not many like that. I've seen recorded seminars from a few of the biggest 7 figure entrepreneurs of today and even those are incomplete, full of boasting, no details and you're left with the same loose ends you started with.

I'm sorry if I get a bit passionate and angry about it, but imagine how many people have thrown away money on nonsense and obsolete training because of this rediculous hype. One of my customers sent me an email saying "Finally someone who's serious" and that was confirmation I'm going in the right direction. I'm actually helping people. There aren't many doing that anymore...

I've never done a course to learn how this whole online thing works. I've seen others do it, worked with a very experienced marketer, had my own 2 offline businesses, and did a lot of trial and error. Eventually I got where I am now and it was all worth the time and effort. It takes hard work and the more products you try, the more confused and frustrated you'll get...

I has spent more than $100 to buy some courses.. lol! don't ever be regret after you bought a course,, just think positive.. n for me, I get a lot of information and new knowledge that are valuable.. I am a newbie in this business, but, the courses help me to know it more fast than I must look for in forums..

Basically, I DO NOT buy from Clickbank. Too much scam going there, promising you pie in the sky and overnight riches. I even stopped promoting some programs because they were outright scams.
I buy WSOs, though, and many of them, but only those that concern the areas of my main focus which is list building, affiliate marketing and Facebook (more or less in that order of priority).
I have a few favorite authors who I follow and after having bought 80+ WSOs I became rather picky. Anyway, I do not regret buying a single one of them and I will buy more as long as they go along with my interests.
It's not the quantity but the quality of the products, and here Clickbank is far far behind WSO.

Well, I would say that there are lots of free ebook so try to read that........ just find in Google with the term "free ebook for internet marketing", free ebook for online marketing etc..........

And affiliate forums, internet marketing forums, blogging forums, webmaster forums are great ebooks also.........believe me!

This is how I got into all this. I purchased some crappy pdf book on cd in croatia. Guy called himself Mr.X Paid for that crap $50+mail. But that that cheap fake rehashed ebook sparkled my imagination, I googled "how to make money with adsense" and here I am. Thanks to that, im making money online.

I’m the victim of the hype of many e-book/courses created by so-called “Gurus” outside there. But it’s in the past.

For now, I prefer to trial and error to find new method of earning money. However, I still buy some course/e-books if I’m sure it’s good.

I never bought any courses and although some may contain some interesting aspects, 99% is rehashed stuff you can also find on blogs and forums. The bottom line is: If you work, you make money. Online isn't different from offline. There is no magic, no shortcut, no real secrets, it boils down to investing money and time and earning more money in return.

For guide, I often buy it. but to follow a course I have never had the experience of online course or workshop. This may be not serious in practice

E-course and Workshop will be more effective especially for people who have not good self-learning skill

I didn't buy courses, because all looked like scams to me. Just got myself attached to a group of great IMs and learnt a lot from this forum too. I'm still in the learning stages and don't plan to take a course. Using the trial and error method. I have learnt great stuff from masters here like Andre (I'm a subscriber to his newsletter and it helps), phoenyx, Winkor. Sometimes what they say just bounces off my head and I try to understand and let the advice sink in slowly.

you do not need courses, there are a lot of free stuff around in forums and google....i have never paid anything for informations and i have a really good knowledge about seo. do try and error.....

Most ebooks are useless, you could find information for free anywhere on the internet especially for a niche like internet marketing.

But to answer your question, no.

I have bought some ebooks, i think about 10 or 12. But the most ebooks are useless, they just bring money to their authors.

BUT

If you have read some ebooks you can think what is to do to make money. I have used the ebooks as inspiration to earn money in the web. I didnt use step by step instructions, because so many people have bought the same ebook too. Sometimes i'm searching for new ebooks to get new inspiration but all in all are these lectures all the same. The same steps, another income and another author.

Many peoplw will buy reports and disregard them for the sole fact it's not what they were expecting.

Too many people expect money for free. They expect push button software to generate money.

Once a person realizes that it doesn't work this way they can begin to earn money effectively from work.

Yes youre right. But often i must read titles like : Make easy $300 a day , or anything else. So newbies think thats THE way to make money and they will buy these ebooks.
