Exactly. Quality content will always make people come back for more. You need to make sure you're not spinning and you're writing your own, unique articles that are interesting to read. Update frequently and you will soon start to build a solid fan base.

Link bait is some content on your site that is of such quality or uniqueness that others want to link to that content. This could be an article that gives good information in an easy to understand way. It could also be an image or a video. There is also the possibility that others seeing the link and content will also link to your content. In that way the content could go viral. On another forum the owner of a non-commercial authority site told of a new page that got over 2 million hits over a few days before his hosting company pulled the plug because of excessive resource usage.

I have seen a recommendation by a successful blogger that a longer article, 1000+ words, that goes into detail on a specific subject is more likely to make good link bait.

Advantages to using link bait are that you get a free link usually from a related site. When the link is posted you often see a bump in traffic to the site, the more popular the site linking to your content the bigger the traffic spike. I have seen a spike of about 50X normal traffic but it can be much higher than my best.

Totally agree... If you provide the visitors with lousy content... No matter what you do, they will not stick... Put more efforts into creating wonderfull content... I use the content authority as an outsource for my content creation... You can check it out if you want...

Give people reasons to come back. Think about the sites you frequently visit and ask yourself why do I always come back to these sites? A couple reasons why people will usually go back to a site is either because there is something new that is consistently added to the site that interests them or there is something on the site like a tool that they can use more than once/over and over.

Embedded videos are good. Your visitors can watch them without leaving your site. Constant updates are good as well though this only works in certain niches. When it comes to affiliate links I also like to embed them in the content instead of putting banners all over. My visitors tend to read at least some of the content which keeps them on the site longer.

The easiest way to attract new visitors and hold the old ones is to update the content of your website with interesting and up-to-date articles as often as it possible.

Use text links in your content that link to other pages on your site.
Of course the link text should be relevant to the page you're linking it to...

I saw free stuff mentioned here aswell. You can even remind or give your readers notice of a free report or whatever you offer with those text links in your content.

I agree with many of the above responses....unique and frequent content. If you have fresh relevant content updated on a regular basis, you will get people to come back. Of course you can also capture their emails and through email marketing, also direct them back to your blog posts.

There should be a reason for visitors to revisit your site. Like give regularly updated information about the niche you promote. also with specially free offers and cheap promos. Your visitors will keep yoursite bookmarked and return. Also show them a link in clear place asking to bookmark the site.

The best way to keep your visitors come back is to provides high quality series article with popular topic + asking a question to reader at the end of each article.

Offer something free, give an interesting and useful content. I'm sure visitors will remain in your website as long as you update your content.

In order for them to stick, be up to date. post quality content that is original and informative.
