Ghostery, anyone use it?

I am using Ghostery to block all the Facebook, Twitter, Google analytics, adsense and so on....
But i am using it only on my main Browser which is Safari, the other browsers i didnt put it, to make somethimes check and want to see the advertisements.

Does anyone use same or any other free service to block such ?

for me it is very good working, it is a simple free plugin for the browser of your choise. It blocks all tracking services as well facebook and twitter ect, and they cant see from which site you come from, where you go ect.... to keep more save my own world

If you use some kind of proxy software such as Hotspot Shield wouldn't it do the same job? I mean you would be using a fake IP so the robots won't be able to identify you as the same person each time?

Yes, a part it will protect you too with Hotspot shield. But it is not free ( if yes than only with Ads) and it cost something . And: the most reason i think is the speed, you speed will be lower iif you use such fake IP, becasue it goes over the other one. And they are limit with users and speed. I tried as well such Fake IP, but was not satisfied with is. to slow the net was going.

That is why I do not complain about the speed and compromise with it. But I'm in need for speed, I turn it off and do not visit any site which I don't want to trace me.

You was knowing that each Site which have an Facebook like, Thats a facebook Spy? trough that Facebook is tracking you where you go and from where you come from.... nevermind you are not clicking on it, it is just enough to visit the site...

never heard of it and I don't use any blockers or anything. I don't think even it's nice to do that unless you visit too many sites which open so many popup ads. I use Firefox and Chrome mainly you get an msg if site going to open new window or not and you can let good times to open the tab and Browser take care of the rest.

yes, about the advertisment it is ok, as you wish bluearrow, but the main point which i mean is about been tracking from facebook, google, twitter, stat counter ect.... you will not see it, but they can see you

I never get any message about a pop up about to open on my Chrome. It simply opens up and when the speed gets really slow, I see the icon below really fat and learn about the multiple windows that are active without my knowledge.

Hmm I use Firefox more often and there you always gets a message. But Also I remember there was message comes in bottom of the browser. Maybe it's because of one of those addons I use. But I'm sure I don't use any ad blocker. Well I rarely visit those sites open too many popups.
