Every website creator or a page owner wanted to have something big for there website. A website with good traffic is definitely indeed one of the best you can get, aside from the ranking also from big search engines like Google. But I have a question for you guys and so that also we can share ideas on all about Traffic Generation. So what do you think are the best and effective ways to drive traffic to your website?

The best way to drive targeted traffic to your site is to have people with huge mailinglists promote for you, but from what I read in your post you're a long way from that.

Browse around on this forum in the SEO section and you'll find more info about traffic generation than you can handle... :-)
It's hard to say what's the best way, because it depends on what you want...what kind of website/business you want to create.

I think you guys hit the nail on the head here-- couldn't agree more that SEO is the center stone of a successful website. Depending on the niche there may be some more effective ways--email marketing, video marketing, affiliate marketing--but as a general rule of thumb you really can't go wrong with SEO (well you can do it wrong but you know what I mean )

PPC is effective in driving you targeted traffic. It helps you to achieve quick traffic with good conversions. The only thing is you need to spend amount.

Mind you...only about 4% of the total traffic from google comes from PPC ads. The remaining 96% comes from natural traffic, meaning the normal search result links.
Putting a bit more effort into SEO and linkbuilding will get you better results and higher traffic than PPC.

There are many ways to drive traffic to your websites. Many people think that having a good website is all you need to get tons of visitors a day and to achieve that all you have to do is to make your website search engine friendly. If only it were that easy. Try to promote your site on different channels like social bookmarking, video marketing, forum posting, RSS feed submission and also promote your website on social networking websites like facebook, twitter etc. and also join or create social groups where you can add value and become respected. Then you can promote your website to them. Also think about learning SEO so you can gain a high serach engine ranking as this will drive a lot of free, targeted traffic.

In certain niches like mine, the only way to get any amount of traffic is by having top rankings in google. Some niches, videos or mailing lists don't really work.

I suggest some of traffic generation techniques.
1.Directory Submission
2.Blog Submission
3.Article Submission
4.Forum Posting
5.Press Relies

Hi PR blog comments + related forum postings seems to work well for me. Even related forum postings would drive a trickle of traffic. Also newsletter if you can get opt-in email list from the visitors/buyers to your site.

there is hard way and easy way.... easy way require a lot of money (outsource work to people), hard way you need to learn the fundamental of SEO

It's rue that PPC is not as effective as SEO just analyze your own activity, how many ads do you click while surfing?

Could someone please clarify one thing, what is the use of a press release and what is it's importance?

I think to drive traffic to website off-page optimization is important and to convert the traffic on-page should be excellent.

i love your statement.. simple and easy to understand... both cling to each other... we need to focus both either On or Off page SEO... rely on just one effort is very hard to convert into revenue
