As SEO concerns:
Yes offcourse, depends what platform is your site on, basicaly you need to do some tweeking or maybe your platform have some SEO premade "add-ons or plug ins" you could use.
I have written something about oscommerce here(you can search for it), because I'm using this platform for my shopping chart and I have done some extensive tweeks by mayself.
As marketing concers:
You need to find out where you future buyers hang out and market them your site like you will for any other site.
