Yes I sell links everyday and you can do well with it f you know what you are doing and offer a good service for a good price...but it does take a good amount of work!
Yes, bloggers do earn extra money by selling backlinks but it's a black hat seo practice (means that it's not ethical in the eyes of Google) and if recognized by Google, it can also penalize severely such bloggers.
Yes, there is no harm in selling links as long as they are passing no PR.
If your backlinks are dofollow and there is PR flow between web pages, Google will not accept this and it may devalue purchased links.

Well its true that from sig link sale you can earn more and more money.I am also in the same field that so i know every thing about it.Signature links are small lnks which are available in your post by which visitors come to know about your site.
yeah, lot of people do you just need to get a high pagerank and alexia ranking.
I saw many people made lots of money by selling links - however I also read that Google hate this practice
Google recently penalize lots of sites just because of these purchased links...Google consider it as black hat method. BTW I also sold links sometimes....:P
There is no such thing as black hat
Forgive me, but I beg to differ. There is definitely such a thing as black hat, and these techniques are widely used everywhere. Many reputable websites will not have anything to do with a member for even mentioning the words black hat in any context at all because of the way Google reacts to it.

I don't think it will make you rich, if you sell links..
I would never sell links, mostly because it might make my profile look bad.
I am writing great a thread now to prove there is no such As black hat seo
[/COLOR] According to my little knowledge, links selling and buying is a Grey hat seo technique instead of Black hat, because Grey hat seo techniques are the forbidden techniques by Google which it can't spot algorithmically or at once but it is working on it. So is the case with links selling and buying that it can't be caught by machines until investigated manually, so link selling and buying falls under grey hat seo.
I would like other members to have feedback/views regarding this, correct me where I am wrong.
Google doesn't mind selling nofollow links since those links do not get link juice.
Yes there is lots of money to be made with selling links. You can first advertise on your own site that you are selling links. It is a little bad seo wise. It best you adversitie on other sites. For example Link brokers and link adage. There is also lots of forums to post o warrior forum and dp. You get payed based on number of visitors and page rank.
Of course, selling links is not allowed by Google mainly but lots of webmasters are doing this work very smartly and they are also earning big money...
I am really inspired by the posts that are written over here. It is a nice communication and also helpful for me to understand the online business trends. I have also learned a lot from different articles about selling link but the information that is shared over here is really appreciative in sense of gaining knowledge. Specially the conversation and knowledge that is shared by "Bliss" is very helpful to understand it in sense of black and Grey SEO.
I also know that when google suspects you're selling links...there goes your ranking !
And no one will want to buy your links anymore...
Seen it happen...still happens.

You can sell links, as long as they are not intended to pass page rank. Therefore, as long as you use the nofollow attribute in the link, you should be fine.
