Thread: Internet Marketing is not so hard

Hi,

I do agree that internet marketing is not a tough task. You just have to be updated with new marketing techniques and ups and downs. Your focus should be your customer that how much effectively you may satisfy them.

I still believe too many have the wrong idea about internet marketing. The term is used all the time as a general thing, but I don't see how new marketing techniques would help you satisfy your "customers" or prospects.
That's 2 very different things here. So either "internet marketing" or SEO is misunderstood here. It has (in my opinion) nothing to do with your market or targeted prospects. It has to do with the fact that your website can be found through SE's.

Internet marketing isn't hard, but it's a lot of work and consists of a LOT more than just SEO.
Find the definition of "marketing" on wiki or elsewhere and get some clarity on that first.
SEO is just a very small aspect of your marketing strategies...

I have been in IM nearly a year now.. All this I have learnt is that for what ever work you do it will not pay u right away.. You need to make a Routine and follow it everyday.. Find out one way of making money and send al the time in implementing it..

Internet Marketing isn't hard, infact it's incredibly easy, once you know HOW to do it. You need to go through the awkward period where you are trying to learn methods and techniques to hopefully pull in some cash.

With this though, it's all about adding your own twists to methods, seeing what works for you. You need to discover what works for you. This is where you pull all of the knowledge you have gained to discover whether you can actually do it or not. That is when it makes or breaks you.

I don't see how SEO or unique content has anything to do with "marketing". Let alone... Google.
Yes, you definitely need to put in a lot of effort...most put all their efforts into the wrong things though.

If you're starting what most call "internet marketing", make sure you know what you're starting exactly.
Personally I call it an "online business", because that's how you should start looking at whatever you're doing (or trying in most cases) to make money online.

This lack of marketing and business knowledge is why so many fail...and fail again.
No matter how good the idea is...

And I can aomst hear you thinking: "OH NOOOO...MORE HARD WORK !?"
Yes...a lot of hard work if you want to achieve something online.
SEO and marketing isn't even everything yet you need to excute correctly to be successful...it's just part of a much bigger picture most can't seem to grasp.

so many interpretation about internet marketing, some people just understand based on their experience, but the key is, the word "marketing" itself tell you what the truly meaning behind "internet marketing", internet just a medium to a marketing process

That's a good point. Internet marketers are first and foremost MARKETERS. A lot of people look at IM and think it a profession about making money on the internet. While this is slightly true, it underplays the marketing aspect of the process

Internet marketing is really an easy task if you may keep yourself updated. On daily bases we find changes in marketing trend and we have to understand these changes to run our business successfully.

Changes in marketing trend should take into account if you wanna run the business smoothly, for example.. last year not much people having said about google plus, but recently, people are now concerning about google plus... last year also, not many websites had been punished by panda update, but this year lots of popular websites have been punished with panda update

After more than 15 years of experience in offline marketing and some in online (Internet Marketing), I can tell you this:
Internet Marketing is not about "making money online". SEO is not about "making money online". If you found a way of making money online but you don't have a detailed description of your customer (Starting with Age, Sex, Location... all the way to his political beliefs) you are not doing any kind of marketing. You are a lucky blogger.
Some say Internet Marketing is not hard... Let me ask you a question. Is Marketing easy or hard? Since some of us spend years in schools just to learn the offline marketing, do you think the online one is easy? Internet Marketing is more than Marketing since you need to apply online your knowledge.
I learned that there are 4 types of people:
1. Those that don't know
2. Those that don't know and they know that they don't know.
3. Those that know but they think that they don't know.
4. Those that know and they know that they know.
From my humble point of view, if ones says that Internet Marketing is easy, it must be part of the first type of people mentioned above.

Too many are only focused on SEO and think they'll be making money.
When I started my real SEO efforts I already had everything ready to back it up.
Product, support, Q&A email addres, free valuable content to give away, opt-in squeeze pages, and more.

Internet Marketing is highly underestimated...
