If you are looking for paid options than you can go for PPC and CPC plans. Even you can search for a highly searched keyword relevant to your site and then subscribe for Google ad-words , this can also be a fruitful step but at last I will suggest you SEO for now has no other cool options.

well Agree With the Think that Forums bring out a lot of Traffic to your site use some internet marketing forums like imtalk,nigerian best forum and affiliate seeking like great forums if u have ur ecommerce related website ..u will definitely get good traffic from there...

As I have said about PPC and CPC through facebook or other social networks we have started to sell facebook business accounts & really traffic through them is great and awesome.

Leveraging Social Media sites and Youtube is the way go.

Social media sites like facebook and twitter can provide huge traffic if you have right content on your site. These site usually send flood of traffic when you post content that people will love to SHARE.
One can leverage authority of other peoples on their subject and get them to write for your blog, once they write post on your blog ask them to share it on their social media profiles as they have thousand of followers.

Youtube is another source of traffic. It is #2 search engine after Google. Creat relevant videos to your site and post them on Youtube and leave link in description.

try social signals dude (twitter, facebook, pinterest etc)

I use solo ads to get traffic my way. I found the safe-swaps website to be very helpful. Easy to use and a lot of options to get your ad sent to a lot of people.
