Thread: How To Protect my eBook from Leakage?

As the titles says, can anybody can help me, how can I prevent my eBook from leakage?

My eBook is not leaked yet but I'm sure it will, when some member request it it backhat forums. its not fear.

I appreciate your suggestions.

Only thing you can do it keep an eye on those file downloading sites and blackhat forums and request to remove links if you spot anyone has it posted. You will need to show some proof that the book is yours. Search for your e-book in Google and see of offer it for free is the only thing You can do I think.

Okay, what I can show as a proof?

if once leaked, you have nothing to do even if you have proof to show that it is yours

Just sell it to trusted people and then it won't get leaked.
Also, there are many paid programs available to protect ebook leakage.

I'm planning to create squeeze page for it. Thats why its risky...

Dont worry it might lek, there lots of internet marketers out there that will never know it leaked and will still buy it. An example of this is if you sell autoapprove lists they sometimes get shared by not everyone saw it was shared so you keep making sells.

Yes but most of the people do search for eBook if they can found it for free...

You can get a dcma and have the website shutdown

Sorry but what does that mean?

You can password protect it and the password can be your website name.
So, even if its leaked with password, your website is getting promoted for free.

I love the idea of password protecting it i would like to do it with my books to how would you do that.

You can add password on the settings of your eBook writing software.

It's hard, because e-book is a kind of digital things that very easy to distribute. But you can place some unique code in every purchase of your ebook. 1 ebook = 1 unique code. So, when you find your ebook distributed illegally, at least you can track who do it.
