I don't know why Google loves blogs so much. Pretty much everyone is milking their keywords with blogs, and I haven't seen real web content since 2004. Maybe one day real websites gets higher ratings.

Let me tell you something else related to this topic, promoting for free is not always a good way of doing it. WF is a good place to promote your business, if it is online related. You should try for it. Need to spend few bucks, but its valuable.

I'm gonna ask on Google Webmaster Help channel why they favor blogs. Hopefully one day they will lower blogs on search results.

Blog are content rich and therefore they mostly prefer blogs.
If forums get content richer, they start coming on top too.
