Hiring other people to write articles for you, is it worth it?

I know a lot of people outsource their article writing to other people, so they can free up their time to concentrate on other things. But my question is, to anyone who has bought a lot of articles, has it paid off financially for you?

Let's say for example you pay a third-party to write a 400 word article for you, charging you around $5. This is just a rough estimate on price btw.

In order to make money from articles (especially if your articles contain affiliate links), I reckon you will need hundreds, if not thousands of articles ranked on Google.

So that's an outlay of hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get other people to write all these articles, before you make any money for yourself.

I would like to know to those of you how have bought hundreds or thousands of articles, was it financially worth it for you in the long run? Did your articles eventually start raking in the money and producing a nice passive income for you to repay your initial investment and more?

Before I spend money paying others to write lots of articles for me, I want to know if it's worth it.

    Thanks,

    Ken.

What I do is to hire someone to write a dozen of articles and then I used article spinner to create hundreds more. That way you don't have to spend thousands but you do have to invest a bit of time. It is hard to say if it paid off - I used it for link building and hopefully it is working.

I use someone who costs about $3.50 an article. I use her articles strictly for EzineArticles and my own websites. She's a native English speaker and worth every dime.

For BUM marketing, I use a service that costs around $8 to spin a generic article and distribute to 200 article sites. While the articles are horrible, it gives me an idea of what my return will be before I commit obscene amounts of cash on site promotion. And despite the Farmer/Panda update - this method still works - very, very well to rank a website. However, you won't stay on top by floating on cr*p.

Strange that this should come up at this time. I have a friend who does not type well, and I was (within the last 10 minutes) wondering if dragon naturally speaking would enable them to produce content for a site. Specifically, how is the capitalization and punctuation? And can you produce paragraphs or do you need to edit the output before it is web ready?

They work from another forum, which is unfortunately not up at the moment. When the DDos attack is over, I'll PM you a link.

But - I'm going to say this again - make sure you have other "good" links in place before you use this service.

It takes getting used to so I just edit the pargraphs and caps. basically just spill my guts and fix it up when done BUT it can do it all for you you just have to "train it" to your voice patterns.

I think it will depend on the person that you will be hiring.. if you are a risk taker, then you may go with hiring another person to do the posting for you well, it is worth a try i know a lot of people who did the same thing. it turned out well

What i usually do. (for backlink purpose) i will hire someone to write 800- 1200 words of article. than spun it for 2 phase. then i got a lot og articles. But if you like to hire someone to write a good article (high quality). You must provide them a very through detail. Let me explain it :

Just as you do before you contract out any other work, you need to discuss your business requirements and agree on a price for writing work. To help you get the job done right, here are five items you should discuss before with the writer:

    1. Deliverables: Are you looking for a media release, a one-page flyer, a 20-minute speech, a 10-minute product promotional video, website copy, promotional email? Define the deliverable to ensure you get what you want.

    2. Target Market: Who are you targeting? Mass-market consumers? Small business owners? Companies in particular sectors? CEOs and presidents? Purchasing managers? Let the writer know who you are targeting so the write can produce words that resonate with your particular target market.

    3. Business Image: Are you a fun and funky company, or are you blue chip? Do you want breezy or solemn copy? Ensure the write knows the image you want to project so he or she can strike the right tone.

    4. Objective: What is the purpose of the work? What are you trying to achieve, and why? Are you trying to inform, educate, entertain or persuade? Do you want a direct response or an eventual response? And what is the response you want? The writer need to know what you want so he or she can write words that will fulfil your objective.

    5. Call to Action: What action do you want the reader to take? For instance, do you want the person reading your brochure to visit your Web site, call for an appointment, or buy something (and if so, how)? The writer needs to know so he or she can create a clear, concise call to action.

Before the project begins, you should also provide the writer with pertinent background reading material or spend some time discussing your business. If you don’t have time to bring the writer up to speed, hire a writer who has written the type of material you need and who understands the nature of your business and the sector in which you operate and/or the sector you are targeting.

How do you know you are getting a professional writer? Read samples on the writer’s website or review the writer’s portfolio. Also ask for and check references.

Need comes when your sites get bigger or your site network getting bigger. When this happens you can't spend time to write quality articles since there are lot of other things to do like promoting all your sites. If you have money to invest and you can find a good writer then it's worth every cent you spend.

But the hardest thing is finding good writers. There are so many who offer their service for cheap at DP. Problem is quality is pretty low some just give you same articles after making several out of one article using those software. It take a while to find good real writers.

I am a professional writer with many satisfied online clients. The exceptional point to consider is that not all webmasters or online marketers are necessarily good or competent writers. As an online marketer and writer myself, I am fortunately familiar with both sides of the coin. My simple advice is that writing is a skill meaning that it can be taught, on the condition that the student is willing and able to go through a thorough learning curve (which is time-consuming). But then again time is money, so why not outsource and focus your quality time on actual marketing of your product or service?

Send me a PM if you need any additional info relating to writing services or just to share your experiences and/or frustrations.

It does matter who writes the article.
The person must have good english and must know how to write an article properly without any error.
