Always remember that when you want to get backlinks you should use forums and blogs for it and when you want to get traffic boost then your should start campaign on facebook and twitter and post your site ads on different sites, but your totally concentration should be on social media sites.

Ha, ha, I had a friend that used that on me all the time. He would help me modify my car (I love fast cars), and he would tell me to draw a circle and divide in into three pie slices.

One way is to use social networking sites to get a word out of your site. This will also be possible if you'll submit your site to as many search engines that you know. This will enable you to get a sufficient amount of traffic.

i think the most important things for traffic are social media sites and classified sites.

as Johnno said, cheap vs quick... which way you take rely on your time and effort, if you want cheap way, go do make backlink by yourself and you will use time as much as you do in quick way(hired people or the system do)

i've been experienced of submitting this kind of link.. really waste of time to do it manually UNLESS you pay the owner of the directory, if not just pointless

few steps to get good traffic

- make a blog network with SEO hosting
- publish some original articles there
- submit your links (contextual) - disable the comment option, so others can't leave comments

This will increase your search engine ranks and give u more traffic. But this method is kinda expensive one.

There's no best traffic way in my opinion. A successful webmaster will use a select few effective methods. Another one that I would mention to your list is submitting software PAD files to download directory websites.

I don't know much about using PAD files for marketing. From what I understand marketing with PAD files only works for people selling downloadable content. Is there a marketing technique I don't know about that may help the rest of us?

Well there are many ways peoples search on search engine and every one type keywords according to there mind so best way to get traffic is Social Media marketing, Forum postings, Blog commenting and directory submissions there are some people who like to read article before going or visit some site on it so have not forget about article submission.
