Thread: What is the Difference between Digital Marketing Expert and an SEO Expert?

These I'm hearing two words;
Digital Marketing Expert and
Search Engine Marketing Expert.

Companies are hiring new employees for these positions.
Can you please tell the differences and similarities between these two?

Search engine marketing is a way to approach digital marketing....the expert part is...all hype.

I guess customers like to head the expert part if you're involved with seo services.

Seo is a part from Digital marketing

Digital marketing is related to SEM and SEO specialist is more than a search engine marketing expert

Bascially, you are referring to a general category and a more specialized category. Digital marketing is all things marketing online while SEO is part of digital marketing.

Thanks for telling me the difference, i was taking both of these things as same because it sounds like the same thing.

As per your response I understand that any expert should try to satisfy their customers.

Search engine experts only have deep knowledge in search engine optimization and promotion techniques but digital marketing experts should have deep knowldge in SEO, Social media optimation and marketing,ppc, email marketing, affiliate marketing and other marketing methods which comes under digital marketing.

Both are kind of inter related with each other. Digital marketing basically relates to email marketing, news letter sending and seo expert related to search engine optimization over search engines and revealing your website in search phrases. (SERP)

In general SEO manager has less duties than Digital manager. The main responsibilities of SEO manager are keyword research, directories, sitemap building, generating original content and making the architecture search friendly. While SEO optimization can be only a part of Digital manager's work. Digital manager develops digital strategy of a brand and implements it by using wide range of instruments and tools.

In my view there is no major difference between them. They both have the same skills set. S E O experts uses content marketing, email marketing while the digital expert uses resources like Tv, Radio, SMS. S E O wants to get the organic traffic while the digital marketing experts wants to increase the online presence of a company.
